QED SUPREMUS Speaker Cable terminated delivers the highest level of performance, borne from pure science for the ultimate expression of sound!
QED Supremus has the largest cross sectional area of pure copper ever incorporated into a QED loudspeaker cable and is made up of sixteen silver plated, 99.999% oxygen free copper, solid core conductors. Each individual conductor is insulated by a nearly invisible layer of enamel, providing ultimate insulation for a more detailed output.
As a result, the ultra-low resistance of Supremus cable ensures perfect fidelity of the musical signal as well as better speaker can amplifier control.
Supremus cable benefits from AirCore™ Technology, unique to QED cables, resulting in unrivalled high frequency detail, rhythm and timing.
ENAMEL COATED CONDUCTORS
A new superior insulation for reduced capacitance and consistent energy flow. The conductors are individually insulated by a nearly invisible layer of enamel, chosen for its extremely good insulating properties.
RHODIUM PLATED AIRLOC™ LOCKING PLUGS
QED Rhodium plated Airloc connectors ensure maximum surface contact between the plug and terminals. Utilising QED’s propriety Airloc technology for an oxygen free, cold weld connection made for life, the new rhodium plated Airloc locking plugs crucially maintain fidelity of the audio signal.
QED AIRCORE™ TECHNOLOGY
Aircore™ Technology is a unique geometry and cable construction designed by QED. By keeping inductance and capacitance at very low levels within the cable, the end result is extraordinary high frequency detail and cable timing.
CRYOGENIC TREATMENT
The significant enhancement in conductivity of copper when cryogenically treated results from the elimination of dislocations in the material’s microstructure. Trumpets and other brass instruments have been found to produce a better tone after Deep Cryogenic Treatment and it is also used to treat guitar and piano strings.
CROSS-SECTIONAL AREA
The large 6.2mm² cross-sectional area of Supremus is made up of two bundles of 16 silver plated, cryogenically treated oxygen free copper conductors for ultra-low resistance exerting beautiful control, bringing your amplifier and speaker electrically closer together.
