QED XT25 Performance speaker cable screw plug terminated is QED’s award winning range of cables, available fully terminated in custom lengths. QED XT25 is perfect as a ‘first upgrade’ for systems of all types: stereo, home cinema, as well as custom install and its 2.5mm² cross-sectional area makes it ideal for longer runs.

This Performance QED speaker cable was designed from the top down and its musical performance derived from QED’s flagship Supremus cable in a more affordable package. QED has won more What Hi-fi? awards than any other single brand and with its XT25, this heritage is delivered at a sensible price.

The cable uses a variation of QED’s X-Tube™ Technology by creating a hollow tubular conductor geometry out of individual conductor bunches.

This allows both high and low frequencies to pass with equal ease when compared to traditional solid or stranded conductors.

The cable’s insulating material has also been carefully chosen; LDPE jacket with 100% coverage of Aluminium Mylar tape wrap. The low-loss dielectric (insulating material between positive and negative conductors) ensures high fidelity of sound as the signal moves back and forth several times a second.

QED XT25 speaker cable has a large current carrying capacity as it’s made up of 99.999% oxygen-free copper. As a result, its electrical resistance is low and quality of sound heard remains true to the original.

QED XT25 is an ideal upgrade cable for all speaker types whether they are floor-standing or book-shelf stereo or home theatre. The cable was also designed to be small enough for use in confined spaces.

Termination

Speaker Cable is fitted with single screw banana plugs.

QED XT25 cable is fully terminated with 4 high quality, gold plated, single screw banana plugs.

GOLD 4mm BANANA PLUGS single screw connectors fit standard 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets found on most high-end audio separates. These premium banana plugs are constructed from a gold plated metal conductor with a spring loaded pin section for a tight fitting connection.

Please note, the price shown is for a single cable for connection to one loudspeaker so you will need to order quantity 2 to receive a pair of cables the same length for a stereo pair.

Optional AIRLOC or Screwloc Termination

AIRLOC or Screwloc Forte plugs with improved pin section can be fitted to maximise contact area throughout the wide tolerance range found in 4mm amplifier and speaker sockets.

This means that the connection remains uniformly tight and with its premium gold-plating, provides optimum sonic performance through time.
